April Bluum Box Review

Hooray! My second bluum box has arrived! I loved last months box so I was anxious to get this one!

First Look:

These boxes are adorable. I also love the crinkled filling they use. They don't include a information card but they do send a card with the theme of your box. Our bluum box theme this month was "tiny chompers." This couldn't be more perfect for Oliver's achy mouth.

The Goodies:

Camilia- Teething Relief ($9.15): We haven't tried this out yet but I'm very interested in this. I haven't used any homeopathic medicines but I've been hearing a lot about them lately. Oliver is teething hardcore right now. We will be trying this out TODAY. Anything to help my little guy from being in pain!
Spiffies- Baby Tooth Wipes ($2.88): I've never heard of these wipes before but I think they're pretty cool. You can use them for swollen gums and for cleaning their little teeth. We received the grape flavor!

Priddy Books- Baby Shaker Teether Animals ($6.54): This teether/ book combination is genius. I had Oliver a toy, book, blanket, really anything, and he puts it in his mouth. This will help him get used to holding a book but also give him something to chew on. Love it!

BabyLegs- Leg Warmers ($12.00): Let me start off by saying, I LOVE this company. We received a pair of cute striped leg warmers. They are great for crawling babies and they make it super easy for changing diapers. We happened to already have this pattern. I emailed BabyLegs asking them if I could possibly exchange this pair out for a different pattern. I really thought it was a long shot but to my surprise, they emailed me back within an hour! They told me not to worry about exchanging them out and that they will send me a pair of my choice. I definitely did not expect that. This company has amazing customer service. Customer service is a big deal to me and I'm pretty sure this is the quickest response I have ever had from a company! I recommend them to everyone!
Weleda- Diaper Cream ($13.50): I've seen Weleda products around but haven't had the chance to try them out. Oliver doesn't get very bad diaper rash but I'm glad to have this for when he does. It smells great and I like the consistency.
Family Bedrock- Siliconies Teething Bangle ($12.95): I'm not thrilled over this bangle. I don't really wear bracelets and do I really want to teach my baby that it's okay to chew on mommy's jewelry? I don't think that's a habit I want to start. BUT this will work just fine being a teether on it's own, so we will get some use out of it still!
Luna Protein Bar- Chocolate Peanut Butter ($1.25): I had a total chocolate craving this morning (which is weird because I usually hate sweets in the morning) so I had this for breakfast. It hit the spot. I will gladly welcome Luna Bars in any boxes I get!

Box Value:

All totaled up this months bluum box was worth $58.27. Wayyy more than the $24.95 a month I pay.

 My Thoughts:

I liked a lot of the items in this box but I didn't love this months bluum box. It wasn't bad by any means. Last months box was just more up my alley.

April Citrus Lane Review

This is my first month receiving a Citrus Lane box. I have been not so patiently waiting for this box since mid March. I was SO happy to get this in the mail yesterday! I tore right into it but was only able to take a quick glance at everything before I had to go to work.

If you don't know about Citrus Lane they are a monthly subscription service that sends you a box of goodies geared toward your child's age. It costs $25 a month and they have an awesome referral program. If you get friends or family to sign up for a monthly box, they give you $10 AND they give your friend $10. The referral programs are one of my favorite parts about subscription boxes, especially when both you and a friend get an incentive.

First Look:

The outside of the box is cute, but the inside is freakin' adorable! I love how nice and neat everything is packed. If only I could make packages look this nice.
The Information Card
I'm sorry for taking such terrible photos. I was in such a rush to take them before work so I could look up the items and read about them on my down time (Shh.. don't tell my boss!). Their information card is also so nice and neat and organized. They identify each item and give you a little info about each, they also include promo codes for some of the items.

First glance at all of the good suff!

The Goodies:

Melissa and Doug- Spinning Penguin ($7.99): I love toys like this. I think all the high tech toys are cool too but there is something awesome about basic wooden toys. Inside the box they include a little information book that gives "tips and play ideas." I think that's really cool.

Innobaby- EZ Grip Training Teether ($4.99): This teether is AMAZING! It's so easy for Oliver to hold onto and it's really light. As soon as I gave this to Oliver he was in heaven. I'll go ahead and say that this is his favorite item from this box! I recommend this teether to anyone that has a teething baby! They included a promo code for 15% off my next order. You better believe I will be using it!
Oogaa- Silicone Train Spoon ($5.99): First of all, how cute is this spoon? The silicone feels great and I know he will love to not only eat with this, but also chew on it. The tip of the spoon is fairly flat, which I really like. It makes feeding so much easier! They also included a promo code, 30% off my next order.
Plum Organics- Little Cremes ($3.29): I've seen these around a lot lately. Oliver isn't quite ready to try these yet but I'm really excited for these when he does. This came with a few coupons too!
The Honest Company- Shampoo and Body Wash ($9.95): As many of you know, I am obsessed with The Honest Company. We already use this daily (both of us) and love it! It smells great and works well. Even though we already have this, I'm so happy that we received this. I've been meaning to ship my brother a hair care kit and this just completed his kit! They included a 20% off coupon for first time buyers. Since I am already a customer, I will send someone this coupon! Just send me your email in the comments below and I will get in touch with you!

Box Value:

The total value of my April Citrus Lane box is $32.21. The box runs for $25.00 (shipping included) a month so it's definitely worth it to get this box! I really did well because I got half off of my first box. I paid $12.50 for all of these goodies! If you want to sign up for your own box, go here and use promo code "firstbox" to get half off your first box!

My Thoughts:

Overall, I am in LOVE with this Citrus Lane box. We will definitely put everything to good use! It's so nice to get a box where I love every single item! I'm already so anxious to get my next one. Ugh, the wait begins.

Do you subscribe to Citrus Lane? If so, what did you get in your box this month? If you did a review of your Citrus Lane box, comment with the link to your blog. I'd love to check it out! :)

April Ipsy Review

I just received my first glam bag from Ipsy! Ipsy is a monthly service that sends you 4-5 deluxe or full size beauty products for $10 a month. It's only my first one but I already love this company.

It arrived in a pretty pink envelope!
Awesome deals
This months theme: Pretty in Pink

I'm pretty happy with the makeup bag. It's simple and it's a great size. My favorite part is the inner lining.
Sation Nail Lacquer ($5.00): I received this really pretty pastel pink called "Of Corset I'll Call You." I love the quality of this nail polish. It goes on smooth and they have this natural glossy look after they dry. I used 3 coats to get a good solid pink. I think this is a great spring color. I am especially happy that I got this color because I don't have any like this and i feel like it's making me step out of my color comfort zone.

Big Sexy Hair- Powder Play ($4.44): This is a volumizing and texturizing powder. I haven't tried it out yet but I cant wait to use it. I want to save it for days that I actually need to fix my hair. I have very fine and thin hair so I need all the help I can get to create some volume.
MICA Beauty- Mineral Eye Shadow ($14.95): I'll start off by saying, I don't love shimmer. This eye shadow is a little too shimmery for me but i was able to blend it with another eye shadow I have and it turned out to be really pretty. The color itself is great. This went on so smooth and stayed on for my entire work shift!

Be a Bombshell-Blush ($16.00): This is by far my favorite product in this months bag! First of all, it's a full size blush. Second, the color is freakin awesome. Third, the packaging is really cute. In the package it looks like it could be an overwhelming color to wear but it's much more subtle when you put it on! I'm obsessed!

Total Value: $40.39 not including the makeup bag.
Price I paid: $10

I am overall VERY happy with this bag. I would have happily paid $10 just for the blush.

Treat yourself or a friend to an Ipsy subscription, here.

April Birchbox Review

This is my second month being a Birchbox member and I couldn't be happier about signing up! It is a monthly subscription of sample size beauty products sent to your door for only $10 a month. Pretty freakin awesome if you ask me!

I love the little box that the products come in. I've already reused both boxes I've received. I use one to keep the cards that Oliver gets at the doctor that have his weight and all that. I used the other one as a gift box for one of the things I got my mom for Mothers Day and I just covered the label with a 'Happy Mothers Day' print out. I love being able to reuse containers!

Information Card
Lets get down to the goodies!

Caudalie- Divine Oil ($1.80): When I first saw this I thought it was perfume but when I realized that it was an oil for skin, hair, and nails, I was super stoked. This smells really nice and it feels GREAT. I have dry spots (and eczema) and this soaks in to those spots and makes them feel so moisturized. I don't think I will be buying this because the full size bottle is $49.00. I'm down with using my bio oil that costs like $12.

Nexxus- Youth Renewal Rejuvenating Elixer ($3.00): I haven't used this yet but I definitely plan on it. I love all Nexxus products I've used in the past. My hair could definitely use some renewal!

Ruby Wing- Color Changing Nail Polish in Poppy ($4.67): I love getting nail polish! This is the perfect sample size. I wasn't thrilled about the color at first but I like it much better now that I have it on. It changes colors when you go outside and the color change is pretty drastic. I love it. I want to buy all of the colors! It looks pretty matte if you don't use a top coat but I think it's cool either way!

Whish- Shave Cream Shaving Cream ($2.93): I don't usually use shaving cream because I use an Intuition razor that already has the moisturizing soap around it. BUT I tried this out and it is pretty awesome. It felt like using conditioner to shave (which I have done before). It also smells really nice. I just might have to buy this to get my legs extra soft for bathing suit season!

Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll- on ($10.99): I LOVE this stuff! I was using a similar product but I just so happened to be running out. This came at the perfect time. I will definitely be purchasing this once I run out. If I had to choose a favorite item from this months box, this is the winner!

Total Value of my April Birchbox: $23.39. I'd say that's a pretty good deal for only paying $10 a month. In addition to that, if you review the products on their website you get $5 to spend in their store. If you're interested in getting a monthly subscription for yourself or as a gift (Mothers Day is coming up!) go here.
